DWC adopts telemedicine rule
DWC adopts a rule to allow treating doctors to perform maximum medical improvement exams by telemedicine or telehealth when there is no impairment.

DWC readopts all sections in 28 Texas Administrative Code Chapters 129, 130, 131, 132, 133, 134, 136, and 137. State agencies are required to review rules every four years and either readopt, readopt with amendments, or repeal the rule.
DWC adopts LIBs verification rule
DWC adopts a new rule requiring verification of certain information about injured employees who are getting lifetime income benefits (LIBs). The rule is necessary to prevent the waste of public funds by notifying DWC of the employee's death before the Subsequent Injury Fund issues a LIBs payment to the employee.
Workers' compensation non-subscriber reporting starts Feb. 1
New Employer E-File makes filing annual reports EZ! Texas employers who choose not to provide workers' compensation coverage for their employees are required to report this to DWC each year. These employers, known as non-subscribers, can use our new Employer E-File portal to file their yearly notices.
