TO: ALL INSURERS ISSUING MEDICARE SUPPLEMENT AND/OR MEDICARE SELECT POLICIES IN TEXAS

RE: MEDICARE SUPPLEMENT INSURANCE RATE GUIDE

This bulletin announces a call for rate information for the Texas Medicare Supplement Handbook and Rate Guide. The Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) is revising the Rate Guide for all Medicare Supplement and Medicare Select plans that have been approved for use and are currently offered for sale in the state.

To ensure that your company is accurately represented in the rate guide, we request, under the authority of Section 38.001 of the Texas Insurance Code, that you provide us with your premium information by the deadline.

The deadline for submission of the information is Wednesday, October 24, 2007.

Companies must enter their rates directly into a password-protected web page on the TDI website. The web address for the rate collection form is https://wwwapps.tdi.state.tx.us/inter/asproot/consumer/msrgcall/msrgcall_login.asp

Detailed instructions for entering the requested information are provided on the online data collection application. Remember that you are responsible for the accuracy of the data submitted.
